Misty Waters FAQ’s

With Misty Waters only 9 days away, please take the time to familiarise yourself with some frequently asked questions.

Are weekend pass ticket holders allowed to enter with vehicle?
No, but we have dedicated staff that will assist with loading all your goods onto a “Bakkie” and drop-off at the campsite. Only one camper’s belongings will be loaded at a time – this will eliminate any items getting lost. Vehicles to be parked in festival parking area.

Where will weekend pass ticket holders be camping?
On festival grounds within demarcated area. These campgrounds will be no further than 300m from parking area.

Are there other camping options?
Yes, Lake Umuzi Kamp Oase will have a dedicated area & these sites can be booked through Central Reservations on 087 233 5082.

Terms and conditions for Kamp Oase sites
Minimum of 5 night booking for maximum of 6 pax per stand & 1 vehicle, at Kamp Oase rates.

Lake Umuzi Kamp Oase Rates:

  • R100 per stand & R50 per person per night
  • Only one vehicle per stand

What are the other accommodation options?
We have 2 hotels and a lodge within walking distance of the festival grounds.
Rates start from:

  • InnGreen – R385 pps per night
  • Merchant at Lake Umuzi – R520 pps per night
  • Umuzi Lodge – Four Sleeper chalet, R1380 per night, self-catering

Do I need to pay accommodation and still buy a Misty Waters ticket?
No, guests residing at Merchant at Lake Umuzi, InnGreen or Umuzi Lodge are entitled to a Misty Waters complimentary pass per day of accommodation. Please advise reception, upon check in, that you would like to have access to Misty Waters.

Are there other tickets than weekend pass tickets available?
Yes, day pass tickets are available at the gate.

Will day pass ticket holders be allowed to enter with a cooler box?
No, the day pass ticket holders will enter through turn-style gates and will be searched upon entry.

Is there an ATM on festival grounds?
No. At Lake Umuzi Waterfront there is an ABSA ATM and Secunda Mall is 1,5km from the festival grounds with all various ATM,s.

Can you purchase with a card on festival grounds?
Yes, all bars will have card facilities.

Are children allowed and what are the ticket prices?
Yes,

  • Pre-schoolers enter for free – Must be accompanied by an adult
  • 7-17 years pay a reduced rate
  • Weekend rate: R290 can be bought online or at the gate
  • Day rate: R120 – at the gate only

When can I come set-up camp?
Weekend pass holders can set up camp from 14h00 on Thursday and from 08h00 on Friday, 27 April.

What time are the ticket offices open?
Friday, 27 April: 8:00 to 22:00
Saturday, 28 April: 8:00 to 22:00
Sunday, 29 April: 8:00 to 17:00

Where do I collect my Weekend Pass armband?
Please print out your ticket bought online and bring to the ticket offices during office hours. Here we will give you your armband.
