Roos & Rosslee celebrated 30 years of grace!!

Last weekend Roos & Rosslee celebrated their 30th birthday at Eish!!

Friday, 26 July, the Boere Mall opened the birthday celebrations for the weekend, with an array of locally produced products to choose from. The evening came to a peak with Sunset Sweatshop, being the main act. The crowd was drawn in by their electric vibe. Everyone was singing along to their famous “Coming Along” song and dancing to the beat.

The Boere Mall opened again early on Saturday, 27 July. At Eish!! breakfast was served, with a hint of excitement, in anticipation of the South Africa against New Zealand rugby match being shown on a LED big screen. The tension could be felt as the clock ticked during the match. As soon as Herschel Jantjies scored the winning try and Handré Pollard made the conversion, the entire deck erupted in applause.

After this unexpected draw between the Springboks and the Kiwi’s, the rest of the day was a buzz of activity as people came and went for the Boere Mall. Once again, that afternoon Eish!! was packed with a crowd that could not wait to see Spoegwolf. The crowd, young and old were transfixed by their performance.

Sunday, 28 July, the young Afrikaans singer, Elandré, transported the crowd into another world as soon as he started singing in his baritone voice. He ended his show by singing Happy Birthday to Roos & Rosslee.
Elmari Greyling from Something Decadent donated a Birthday Cake covered in Chocolate Icing topped with macaroons and Aero chocolate. The taste – out of this world!!

Thank you Roos & Rosslee for sharing your birthday with the community. It truly was unsurpassed!

Roos & Rosslee wants to thank the community for enjoying their celebration with them. A special thank you to United Motors Mercedes Benz for shuttling Elandré, and to Elmari Greyling for the delicious cake.
