6 fun things to do on Heritage Weekend
Heritage day is always an extraordinary day for South African’s. Our country has a rich variety of cultures and each culture is unique and is celebrated in distinctive ways.
In 2020 we feel as if we don’t have a lot to celebrate, but as the seasons are changing, we can see light at the end of the tunnel.
We, at Lake Umuzi, want to celebrate the shift to Level 1 of Lock Down, by bringing you a list of fun things to do on Heritage weekend starting on 24 September 2020.
1. AquaZone Waterpark
After the prompt closure of the Water Park, as well as the various other recreational facilities in March, it is with a joyous heart that we announce the opening of the doors again. Safety regulations do apply and social distancing has to be maintained but be assured the fun will not be spoilt.
2. Carnival Square
The Lock Down ensured that families spent a lot of quality time together, but we do recognise that the little ones still need an area where they can play and explore. Carnival Square is a jungle of colour, slides and a ball pit, where they can live out their wildest dreams and imaginations. While all this is happening, you as the parents can relax and sip on a cold beverage on Eish!!’s deck.
3. Family Sunday
On Sunday, 27 September 2020, we have put together a package where you as a family can get the best value for money. For only R60 per child under 1.35m and R100 per person thereafter, you can get access to AquaZone Waterpark and play a round of Putt Putt at Rocky Waters. Now you don’t have to choose, but you can get the best of both worlds. Don’t worry about lunch, you can enjoy traditional dishes at Bosveld Lapa, the famous fish at Ocean Basket or a juicy steak at Dros.
4. Kamp Oase
Even though Friday, 25 September is not a school holiday, it doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on a weekend away. You can camp at Lake Umuzi Kamp Oase for the weekend and the children don’t have to miss a day of school. Enjoy the outdoors, make memories and the best of all is, it is not a long drive home on Sunday.
5. Zen Garden
Centralize your aura and find your inner zen at Zebra Lounge on 25 September with Zen Garden performing from 20h00.
6. Boere Mall
Saturday, 26 September is time for the monthly Boere Mall at Lake Umuzi, where hand and homemade products can be bought and enjoyed.
How much is the entry fee ?
Are you referring to AquaZone Waterpark?
