The 5th Wyn Inni Tyn is coming up this weekend. It is going to be a Wyn Inni Tyn like Secunda has never seen before!
Saturday, 24 August, Boesies at Lake Umuzi, South Bank will be transformed into a wine tasting oasis. Seventeen wine estates from all over South Africa will be showcased. From the more popular, commercial wines to boutique and garagiste wines will be available for tasting and purchasing.
No need to travel all the way to the Cape or Napa Valley to learn about wine. At the EduTent, wine experts will discuss an array of topics that include The Process of Wine Making, The Difference Between Sparkling Wine and Champagne, and The Process of Sauvignon Blanc.
Even though the main focus will be wine; other boutique beverages will also be represented, such as craft gin and beer, tequila and a diverse selection of cocktails.
Wine is art with grapes, but why not add other mediums? From 10h00 on Saturday morning, local artists will enjoy En Plein Air, which is French for “the act of painting outdoors”. Each artist will demonstrate their talents on a canvas. They will choose a spot to sit, anywhere at Boesies, and paint or draw what comes to mind. At 15h00, the paintings together with other items will be auctioned. All proceeds will go to the SPCA.
Boesies will launch their summer menu and other food stalls will be available to satisfy your appetite.
Live entertainment on the day by Shared Address and Charlie, the pianist.
Entrance fee to all this is only R 75.00 and includes a wine tasting glass for you to take home. Tickets are available at Lake Umuzi Box Office or at the gate.
Children are welcome and enter for free.
