We believe that each child should be provided with stimulating and age-appropriate activities in a safe, nurturing and caring environment. We place a strong emphasis on learning and development through play; acknowledging individual skills and abilities.

We aim to foster meaningful relationships that will encourage a spirit of empathy and understanding and to encourage a sense of wonder and respect of our world.

We are highly experienced and educated professionals.

We provide a learning program that is grounded in years of experience. Each classroom has a teacher and an assistant at all times. Safety is one of our primary concerns; therefore all the staff are First Aid qualified.

At Carnival Kids, we don’t just educate children, but we take a sincere interest in their learning and encourage each child to reach his/her full potential. We invest ourselves in every child with whom we work.

How we go about education

At Carnival Kids Private Preschool we make use of Day by Day Early Childhood Development (ECD) for age groups 18 months to 4 years, which is an Outcome-Based Educational (OBE) curriculum.

The Grade R (age group 5 to 6) have a school readiness program based on the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) designed to confidently meet all the CAPS requirements listed by the Department of Basic Education.

The OBE and CAPS Curricula focuses on:

The aim is to turn a mountain of information into practical, easily understood, daily lesson plans which will benefit and entice the child’s interest. At the end of each term, an assessment is done, and report cards are provided.

We want to know our parents

We believe in getting to know our parents – the children and their families. We encourage parental involvement. We, therefore, have an open-door policy and help parents of pupils to feel free to come and discuss their child at any time.

Meal plans

We know that your child’s nourishment is of utmost importance, and we will, therefore, ensure that all the meals provided by the parents are consumed by your child(ren) at the appropriate times.

Carnival Square

We are proud to have the biggest jungle gym in Africa right next to the school at Carnival Square. Here children can play, wonder, and explore in the safety of a secure indoor playground. Students of Carnival Kids always have free access to the Square.
