FAQ’s for Misty Waters 2019

The third Misty Waters Music Festival will be taking place on 10 to 12 May 2019. You’ve heard from everyone who attended last year that this was an epic festival, but 2019 is going BIGGER!

Here are some FAQ’s and what you need to know:

IT IS A WEEKEND FESTIVAL:

That is right… Not one, not two, but THREE days of music. And not just any music but the best of SA rock, blues and folk all jammed into one line-up.

Q: So, if it is a weekend festival, how does accommodation work?

The standard weekend ticket for R390 includes festival camping for 4 nights. This gives you the option to come and set-up camp on Thursday, 9 May and only pack up on Monday, 13 May. (T’s&C’s apply). No vehicles allowed with the standard weekend ticket – safe parking area is available.

Kamp Oase Package:
For only R300 per stand, (excluding festival ticket) for the weekend or part thereof. You get a dedicated camp stand with braai and electrical point at your stand. Bonus.. with this package you are allowed to bring in 1 vehicle per stand!

Luxury accommodation:
If camping is not your style, you can book a luxurious hotel room or a self-catering chalet. Tickets to the festival are included in the rates if you book for 2 nights.

Q: Can I bring my cooler box

Yes, but this is limited to your campsite, you may not bring to the stage and bar area. Strictly NO glass outside camp area.

Q: Can I camp with my car?

Weekend festival tickets are not allowed to enter with vehicles. To camp with your car you will have to book a Kamp Oase package.

Q: Can I make a fire next to our camp?

Kamp Oase packages will provide you with a dedicated stand and your own braai area. For the festival-free campers, you may make a fire in a portable braai, no unattended fires are allowed. Please use the drums provided to discard of cold ash.

Q: Will there be day tickets available?

No, as we said it is a weekend festival. You will be able to purchase tickets at the gate at R440 per person for the weekend or part thereof.
Don’t be that guy that pays more for the same thing!! Buy your ticket online or book through Central Reservations and SAVE!!

Q: Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be bought online or you can book the Kamp Oase Package and luxurious accommodation by e-mailing [email protected]

Q: Who is on the line-up?

Q: When will the precise line-up be available?

The line-up will only be made available within the festival grounds on 10 May. There will be no postings of the precise line-up before or during the festival.
Misty Waters is not just a list of bands that perform. It is an experience, enjoy it with us.

Q: Will there be food stalls?

We have arranged with a variety of food stalls to cater for hungry tummies. There will even be a vegan option!

Q: Will the bar prices be reasonable?

The organisers have gone to great lengths to get you the best possible prices for all the beverages.

Q: Should I bring cash?

The bar will have a card machine but we do advise you to bring cash as well, seeing as all the stalls and vendors may not all have card machines at hand.
An ABSA ATM is available within walking distance and Secunda Mall is 2km driving distance from the festival grounds for other ATM’s and shopping needs.

Q: Are there bathrooms and showers?

Yes!! Not only do we have modern, CLEAN bathrooms. We will also guarantee HOT showers at all times.

Q: Can I bring my kids?

For sure, kids under 6 years enter free.
7 to 17 years pay R290 for the weekend or part thereof.

Q: What times will the ticket office be open?

Friday: 10h00 to 21h00
Saturday: 10h00 to 15h00
